UNIFORM
Uniform is a central part of Woodlands School and as such we expect all pupils to take pride in their uniform and wear it correctly at all times. School is like a place of business and therefore we expect similar standards as the world of work. Extreme or extremist haircuts or styles are unacceptable. We want Woodlands pupils to be respected by everyone in and outside the school.
All pupils are required to wear uniform.
Woodlands uniform is simple: black and white.
UNIFORM:
Boys
- V-necked, long sleeved, plain black jumper with embroidered Woodlands ‘logo' (no other jumper, cardigan or sweater may be worn)
- White Shirt (not T-shirts or sports shirts)
- School tie
- Plain black tailored trousers (no cords or jeans)
- Black ‘sensible' shoes (not trainers or boots)
- Boys are not allowed to wear earrings or any other form of jewellery, except an inexpensive wrist watch.
Girls
- V-necked, long sleeved, plain black jumper with embroidered Woodlands ‘logo' (no other jumper, cardigan or sweater may be worn)
- White Shirt (not T-shirt or sports shirt)
- School tie
- Plain black skirt, tailored culottes or tailored trousers
- (no cords, cropped trousers or jeans)
- White or black socks or tights
- Black, low heeled ‘sensible' shoes (not trainers or boots)
- Earrings – one plain stud only allowed in each ear, but no other items of jewellery, except an inexpensive wrist watch
All Pupils
- Outdoor coats should be waterproof and sensible for school wear.
- Parents please note that hoodies and denim are not acceptable, and that ‘extreme' hair styles and excessive make-up are not permitted.
School PE Kit (boys & girls)
- Woodlands' Rugby shirt Purple shorts or skirt
- Purple socks Football boots
- Woodlands' white Polo shirt Training shoes
- Towels (for showers) Woodlands' sweatshirt (optional)
- Black/dark blue tracksuit bottoms (optional)
Please note:
All pupils must leave all valuable items at home e.g. ipods, disc players, mobile phones and MP3 players.
Jumpers, ties, rain jacket (optional) and PE kit can be bought from the school's shop (open on Tuesday and Wednesday, located in the East Block entrance foyer).
