CAREERS

Careers guidance begins in Year 7 and is integrated into both the Tutorial Programme and PSE lessons.

We work very closely with the local Careers Office and our local colleges. We are a partner school with Palmer’s College, Basildon College and Thurrock College which ensures our pupils are guaranteed a place at these institutions when they reach the age of 16. All Year 10 pupils take part in our very successful Work Experience Scheme. This scheme even has pupils who complete their work experience abroad as part of our European Link Scheme. Local companies run mock interviews for our Year 11 pupils. Last year over 80% of our pupils went on to further education or training. At the age of 18 a significant number of our pupils go on to university.
